We're awkward in photos. Help?

You're exactly who I want to photograph. You don't need to know what to do with your hands — that's my job. After almost 30 years, I'm pretty good at making people forget the camera's there.

How much does a wedding cost?

Collections start at $3,200. The final number depends on hours, a second photographer, and whether you want an album. See Pricing, or just send me your date.

What happens if it rains?

We shoot anyway — some of my favorite frames happen in the rain. I plan for weather and I'm not precious about it.

Do you photograph the details — shoes, flowers, rings?

You know it. You spent a year deciding how the day would look; I want you to feel it all over again afterward.

How long until we see our photos?

A teaser within days of the wedding, and the full gallery in about six weeks.

Do you offer albums?

Two styles — a Fine Art album and a Modern album, both beautiful, both archival. You pick the style and the images; I handle the rest.

Should we add a second photographer?

I'm the primary photographer and I personally shoot everything you see here — but a second shooter adds real coverage, and I recommend it for most weddings.

Do you travel?

Absolutely. Philadelphia is home, but I love destination weddings and I've shot up and down the East Coast and beyond.

How long have you been doing this?

I shot my first wedding in 1998 — and I still have a blast at every one.

Are you insured?

Yes. It matters for peace of mind, and a lot of venues require it — I can send a certificate to yours. Think hard before booking anyone who isn't.

What's your backup plan — gear and files?

I shoot with two camera bodies so a failure never ends the day, and I back everything up to multiple drives the night of the wedding, then off-site. Your photos live in more than one place from the start.

What if you get sick or there's an emergency?

It's never kept me from a wedding, but I'm part of a network of photographers I trust and my contract accounts for a backup shooter if I ever couldn't be there. Your day is covered either way.

Do we get all the photos, or a selection?

You get the full edited gallery — every keeper, color-corrected. I cull the blinks and the misfires; you keep everything worth keeping.

Can we print the photos ourselves?

Yes — select collections include a print release, so you can print anywhere. I'm also glad to handle albums and wall art if you'd rather I did.

How many weddings do you take a year?

A limited number. I only book one wedding a day, and I keep enough room to give each one my full attention.

How far out do you book?

Popular dates tend to go 12–18 months ahead, but reach out whenever — sometimes a date opens up, and I'd rather hear from you early than not at all.

I'm a member of ISPWP, Fearless Photographers, and the Professional Photographers of America.

How do we book?

Send me your date and venue. If I'm free, I'll walk you through collections; a 50% retainer holds the date.
