About Russ
I've been to a lot of weddings.
First one, professionally: 1998. I still have a blast at every one — which, after almost three decades, I did not entirely see coming.
I grew up in the South, spent a few years in New York after college, and somewhere along the way Philadelphia became home. I love movies and could watch TV all day. I have two hilarious dogs — Jackson, a corgi, and Benny, a chihuahua-dachshund who has opinions.

When it comes to photography I'm all in — my energy, my humor, my time. If you see me out somewhere I've almost certainly got a camera on me, because I feel weird without one. What I'm after is the feeling: I want you to look at an image and remember exactly how that moment felt.
My style is storytelling with raw emotion — a little photojournalism, a little editorial, a little fashion, shaped around your day rather than a shot list. Mostly, I'm the person who makes the people who hate having their photo taken forget I'm there.
